About the Course
What's the first step to take when we need to cope with a difficult moment? It's to STOP: slow down, take a beat, observe what's happening and proceed with mindful intentionality. If you can already do that, great - skip the course. If that slow down is tough for you, then you're in the right spot. The STOP specific material is just over 30 minutes, and you should leave the course with clarity on how to slow down, ideas for applying this to your life, and concrete homework to help you get started.
About the Creator: Kate
Hi, I'm Kate, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a private counseling practice in Chicago. I've been providing therapy and teaching coping skills for years, and have seen them change hundreds of lives. What I bring to this course is my clinical experience; it's not just about knowing "what to do" in a tough moment, it's also about overcoming barriers to "doing it". In the course I'll help you get through common barriers associated with building and using coping skills so you can apply them to your life. It doesn't have to be so hard.
